Ohio based industrial designer and toaster enthusiast James Stumpf may have created the best thing since, well, sliced (ready to be toasted) bread!
His new contemporary Eco+toaster design is part one of a three part series of unconventional sustainable kitchen appliances made from bamboo and glass, eliminating the need for plastic materials and using just a minimal amount of metal.
Using the traditioanl pop up mechanism, the Eco+Toaster’s metal heating coils are quick cooling, while the sleek clear casing makes it possible to watch your bread sizzling inside.
But the part I like the most is that the innovative front touch screen display allows you to keep track of your toasting, without the need to fiddle with any dials, plus the screen tells you when the toast is too hot to touch, meaning you’ll never have to burn another slice of bread again!
