Founders of US based ethical accessory company Kooshoo were inspired to begin a new business venture when they realised just how quickly their newborn baby girl went through her clothes. It seemed so wasteful the rate that they were replacing her outfits with new ones, and so they set out to find a solution. Baby tights.
Babies grow so fast they go up four pant sizes in a year. Rather than buying a number of normal pants your kid will soon outgrow, Kooshoo’s unisex baby tights are flexible and adjustable like yoga pants, so they can be rolled up or down as you like. Made from organic cotton and hand dyed using natural inks, they are truly sustainable in all aspects of their design. Choose from eight colours, ranging from plain to tie-dyed.
“Our daughter’s 20 months old & wearing the same sized pair as she did when she was just 5 months old. With 4 million babies born annually in North America, a design like ours could save 8 to 12 million garments from landfills annually – in just that size alone!”
