Adidas, Timberland & Others Commit to Using Responsible Down

Responsible Down 2Good news! Adidas, Timberland, Nau and other outdoor and active wear clothing retailers have committed to meeting The Responsible Down Standard which was introduced by The North Face in January last year, to put an end to using force fed ducks and live plucking.

The RDS works with suppliers to promote traceability and animal welfare, now managed by organisation Textile Exchange, who aim to encourage retailers to use only ethical down in their outerwear and introduce transparency within the supply chain.

Adidas and Timberland follow the footsteps of H&M, Helly Hansen and Marmot, to name a few, while the list of retailers to commit to the RDS is no doubt set to grow.
