The 2015 EcoChic Design Award finalists have been announced and the remaining designers have come up with some truly stunning upcycled looks, demonstrating the extent of their incredible talents. Hosted by Redress, the EcoChic Design Awards celebrates zero waste fashion, addressing the issue of textile waste by turning discarded and surplus fabrics into contemporary, avant garde outfits, full of texture and detail.
Photographer Tim Wong captured the finalist looks, while stylist Denise Ho and model Bonnie Chen showcased the designs, bringing them to life. The winning look will give one lucky designer the chance to collaborate with Shanghai Tang at Hong kong fashion week in January. See the finalist designs below.
“To me sustainable fashion is about the social and environmental standards in the fashion industry. As a designer I believe it is my responsibility to understand the long-term effects of the products I make.”
