According to Textile Exchange‘s annual organic cotton market report, Swedish retailer H&M have reclaimed the crown for global largest users of organic cotton. The major high street chain gained the title in 2010 and 2011, but lost first place to Dutch clothing company C&A in 2012.
Now, for 2013, the clothing giant and socially conscious fast fashion company has managed to regain the title, as almost 11% of the cotton they used last year was organic. This statistic is up from 7.8% from the previous year. 2013’s runners up include C&A, Puma, Nike and newcomers Decathlon.
