As the world’s first ever conscious denim company, Netherlands based Kuyichi knows all there is to know about sustainable ATTYRE. Using socially responsible organic cotton, alongside recycled cotton, plastic bottles and other alternative materials, this fashion forward brand have been paving the way in terms of progressive ethical style for 13 years.
‘Grown and sewn with love’…’crafted with a conscience’…’style with a soul’
This season, casual colour block shirts, light-wash slim fit jeans and khaki parka jackets complete the look for spring summer 2014, while the behind the scenes blog gives us an idea of what to expect for autumn winter.
As leaders of the ‘organic revolution’, the Kuyichi team strive to keep the natural order of our eco systems in sync by reducing the environmental impact of manufacturing. This is achieved by joining the Fairwear Foundation, using earth friendly Indigo dyeing techniques, as well as adopting a Deposit Denim recycle process, which transforms old worn jeans into new ones through respinning and mixing with sustainable yarns. Even down to the recycled packaging, sustainability is embedded into the company’s ethos.
“Sustainability for Kuyichi is not a choice, not a trend, it’s in our genes.”
