Livia Firth of Eco Age has collaborated with designer and environmental activist Stella MCcartney, for a 2014 Green Carpet Challenge collection.
The Green Carpet Challenge is a project which pairs glamour and ethics, by working with celebrities and high profile designers to promote luxury eco fashion. In the past, the GCC has worked with the Golden Globes, to Cannes Film Festival, helping spread the word of sustainability within the industry.
This season is a little different however, as Stella McCartney is the first to be the sole designer of a Green Carpet capsule collection. Hosted by Livia Firth, Natalie Massenet and Anna Wintour, McCartney presented 13 exclusive eveningwear designs.
“I am proud to be expanding the boundaries of what sustainability can look and feel like. “
All materials used were recycled, upcycled or sustainably certified, and combined soft femininity with bold graphic abstraction. Green is definitely the new black. Finally a colour that everyone can looks and feel good in!
Selected styles will be available for purchase in November, exclusively to Net-A-Porter.
