H&M has a new ambassador for their Conscious Exclusive Collection. Olivia Wilde was picked as next year’s face of the Swedish clothing giant’s eco-friendly collection, following the likes of Vanessa Paradis and Amber Valetta.
The Conscious Exclusive line was established in 2011 and Spring/summer 2015 will see hand drawn prints prints and cuts inspired by Africa, India and Asia, set to be released on April 16th.
This environmentally conscious line will feature over 200 pieces of clothing produced from recycled polyester, organic cotton and linen. Wilde is an ideal representative of this line, not just because of her style and image, but because sustainability is a subject close to the actress’s heart, as the founder of Conscious commerce.
Conscious commerce connects brands to charities, so that with every purchase made, that product is donated to a person in need – much like our BODO Footwear brand. Conscious Commerce’s latest success was connecting clothing retailer Anthroplogie with charity New Light India, donating dresses to a girl’s school in an impoverished region of India.
This April Wilde also teamed up with H&M and Dosomething.org’s Comeback Clothes Campaign to encourage consumers to recycle their unwanted clothing.
