Southwest Airlines and zero waste design company Looptworks have collaborated for an upcycled range of limited edition bags, called the ‘Luv Seat’ collection.
The designs are produced from old plane cabin seats after 80,000 of Southwest’s seats were replaced last year to make way for lighter, more comfortable models.
The bags, which include a tote, backpack and weekender holdall duffle design, are made from water resistent leather and have a two-tone purple and beige look, in keeping with the original seating colours.
“We rescue high-quality, unused material and turn it into limited edition, hand-numbered goods.”
Prices range from $150-$250, with a whopping big waiting list of up to 7 weeks for some items!
