The Oscars Annual Academy Awards were held last night and the competition was tight – including on the red carpet. As the industry elite gathered to celebrate the 86th renowned film awards, the nominees were not only battling it out on screen, but secretly competing to win the public’s award for best dressed.
Among the typical designer labels, one star duo – Olga Kurylenko & Kevin Lutz, were flying the flag for sustainable fashion wearing custom made outfits by winners of Suzi Amis’s ethical dress design contest, Red Carpet Green Dress. Wearing the ‘eco suit’ designed by Ekocycle designer Jomnarn Dul, Lutz looked as good as any other actor in Armani or Prada, while Olga wore a stunning floor-length red gown, produced from earth friendly materials.
Olga is the 5th Oscar actress to support Green Carpet Red Dress. Last year’s Oscars saw Naomie Harris wear a stunning gold sustainable Red Carpet green Dress designed by Michael Badger.Winning designs are judged by Suzy Amis herself and renowned eco-fashion pioneer and environmentalist, Vivienne Westwood.
As a fellow environmentalist, Suzy is also co-founder of MUSE School, California – a non profit that focuses on students learning the practices of a sustainable lifestyle.
