Stella McCartney’s Pre-Fall 2014 presentation incorporates sustainability in all aspects of her designs, from the biodegradable rubbers shoes to organic fabrics.
The British designer has also introduced a new type of faux leather called Alter Nappa, which is produced from 50% vegetable oil, as well as partnering with the Nature Conservancy and Network Ovis XXI, to protect acres of grasslands in Patagonia, promoting the use of sustainable wool.
This season sees a number of quirky illustration prints, houndstooth and punk inspired pieces influenced by McCartney’s half sister’s anarchic teenage years. The pieces combine 80’s London with a distinct British countryside feel.
