Style Spotlight: Eco Design Project

Eco Design Project NecklacesBrowse e-market Etsy for long enough and you’ll soon come across some great independent labels that veer away from the typical high street trends. Etsy brings together a community of small businesses that are looking for a platform to shine, but may not have the funding.

What caught our eye this week is Eco Design Project. With its bohemian influences and exploration of other cultures,  designer Mayo Fujiwara creates unique hand crafted ethnic accessories, with a distinctly Native American feel.

The japanese born designer began by recycling coat hangers, t-shirts and leather scraps, repurposing them as jewellery, which she has now turned into a fully fledged business based in California.

From the tassels, to the dreamcatcher necklaces and brightly beaded range of watches, every piece evokes a sense of whimsical wanderlust, which calls out to my inner hippie! Eco Design Project hair clips
