With London Fashion Week well under way, the Christopher Raeburn ‘Aurora’ AW14 collection, as always, was a highlight for sustainable fashion. As an upcycle specialist Raeburn uses leftover fabric scraps, and recycled parachute material, remaking and repurposing to complete his signature utilitarian style.
As the only designer on the catwalk pushing sustainable street-wear, his designs immediately represent a youthful urban aesthetic that appeals to the everyday consumer. For this season, a fur gilet was made from siberian military coats, while a dazzling orange peacoat was produced from parachute lining.
No one does winter quite like Raeburn, and this arctic ready collection was no exception.
