Sustainable Spotlight: Colin Leslie Eyewear

Colin Leslie VintageWith the days getting longer and hotter (fingers crossed!), the prospect of wearing shades again is now becoming a reality.

Made sustainably from bamboo, Colin Leslie Eyewear sells fashion frames and  sunglasses with a casual london look. Established in 2009, the designs have a distinct asian aesthetic, influenced by relaxed, effortless street style and laid back simplicity.

The bamboo is sourced straight from plantations in China and Colin Leslie Emeli SandeHongkong, while other materials used, such as acetate and plastic, are recycled.

Within 5 years, the brand has showcased at London Fashion Week and grown quite an impressive following, with the likes of Emeli Sande and Olly Murs sporting looks from the sunglasses range.

With names like ‘The Kensington’ and ‘The Dalston’, the London collection offers a line of contemporary shades with a sharp urban edge, from trendy tortoiseshells, to minimal two tones and slick aviators.

Bring on the sunshine!

Prices range from £65-£95, with a special bespoke collection of statement designs by Jan Laurent and Biffy Moments.
