Ethical wool entrepreneur, Isobel Davies, created her luxury knitwear fashion label Izzy Lane in 2007, where she saved 500 rare breed sheep from the slaughter. Since then, Izzy’s sustainable wool designs have earned her the reputation of leading voice for the use of British wool & the British textile industry.
Her sheep sanctuary in North Yorkshire is a shelter for Wensleydale and Shetland sheep who would otherwise be sent to the slaughterhouse for being male, skipping a pregnancy, being a little lame, too small, old or having imperfections.
As a representative of quality British wool, Izzy Lane designs have showcased at LFW, NYFW, Paris and Milan, and over the years there’s been collaborations with Topshop and Hobbs to help bring the importance of made in Britain to a wider market.
As a leading ethical brand in the UK, Izzy Lane won the RSPCA Good Business Awards in 2008 & 2012, while Izzy herself won New Designer of the Year at the World’s first ethical fashion awards.
For AW14, the specialist knitwear brand offers a selection of longline coats in checks and two-tones, as well as plush textured cardigans, jumpers and simple accessories.
