Sustainable Spotlight: M&J Candles

Sustainable Spotlight: M&J Candles

M&J CandleCandles are one of the nation’s favourite ways to relax, but the paraffin wax and crude oil included in their production makes them not the most eco-friendly of products! This weekend we came across a great range of fragrant candles by a british company called M&J.

Claiming to be 100% ethical, M&J soya candles are Fair Trade and packaged in Forest Stewardship Council and The world Land Trust certified vegetable dyed boxes.

The candles are placed in recycled glass tumblers (which cost four times more than standard manufactured glasses) and are produced entirely within the UK.

“…with the challenges we as consumers (and as residents of this planet) face today, operating without consideration for sustainability is a luxury we can no longer afford.”

Did we mention that they smell damn good too!
