The Rainbow Collective is a social enterprise and production company that aims to raise awareness on human rights issues. Founded by Hannan Majid and Richard York in 2006, their latest work is upcoming documentary ‘Tears in The Fabric’, which highlights the plight of those affected by the Rana Plaza building collapse last year, killing over 1000 workers.
The team travel to Savar Bangladesh, to follow the life of Razia, a woman struggling to raise her grandsons after losing both her daughters due to May 2013’s tragic incident. Doing her best to come to terms with the disaster, Razia strives to educate her grandchildren and now fully commits her life to protesting through the streets of Dharka, in hopes of bringing about change.
Tears in The Fabric will be released on 24th April.
